My name is Ashleigh, aka Shlee! I'm from the UK, and have lived in the Bay Area, California since April 2022.

When I moved here I had the opportunity to join a ceramics group at my local Recreation Center. This began in June 2022, and I fell head over heels for pottery as much as I fell for life here in California. Since then, my pottery hobby has turned into a whole new career change, and making ceramics is now my full time job.

I'm very lucky to be able to make everything on my pottery wheel at home, in my garage-turned-studio! 

All my pieces are inspired by nature and the landscapes of California; the Pacific Ocean, it's rugged coastline, serene Redwood forests, snowy mountains, and arid deserts. I like making one of a kind pieces of art, and most feature unique designs that have been carved into the clay. I also enjoy pairing clays with contrasting glazes, accentuating the beauty in each.

I like making pottery that is functional art, something which not only showcases the detailed designs but that also serves a purpose in your home, transforming everyday objects into works of art.
