This large serving bowl was thrown on the pottery wheel and the design was carved by hand, then fired in the kiln at 2170°F.
The clay is an ivory colored ceramic stoneware with dark speckles. The blush glaze was applied by hand, and pools a deeper pink in the base of the bowl.
