This mug was thrown on the pottery wheel, the handle was attached and the design was created by hand, then fired in the kiln at 2170°F.
The clay is an ivory colored ceramic stoneware with dark speckles that show through the honey color glaze. This glaze was applied by hand and settles beautifully in the carved design.
