Rustic Carved Salt Pot

This salt pot was thrown on the pottery wheel, the design was created by hand, then fired in the kiln at 2170°F.

The clay is a sandy colored ceramic stoneware with dark speckles. The glaze was applied by hand and has nestled in the hand carved design.
