Sand and Sage Planter

This planter was thrown on the pottery wheel and finished by carving the design by hand, then fired in the kiln at 2170°F.

The clay is a sandy colored ceramic stoneware with dark speckles. The glaze is a rich brown color, with touches of sage in the carved texture.
