This salt pot was thrown on the pottery wheel, the design was created by hand, then fired in the kiln at 2170°F.
The clay is an ivory colored ceramic stoneware with dark speckles. The glaze was applied by hand and melted in a unique way in the kiln, creating vibrant greens with shiny metallic areas. The inside is glazed in a white matte speckle.
