Sky Blue Posey Vase

This posey vase was thrown on the pottery wheel and finished by hand carving the design, then fired in the kiln to 2170°F.

The clay is a sandy colored ceramic stoneware with dark speckles. The sky blue glaze was applied by hand and drips beautifully down the carved design.
