This planter was thrown on the pottery wheel and the texture was carved by hand, then fired in the kiln at 2170°F.
The clay is a sandy colored ceramic stoneware with dark speckles, the white matte glaze was applied by hand and and breaks a terracotta color on the hand carved texture.
